Consent

By using the Corbett & Dullea Web Site, you unambiguously consent to Corbett & Dullea’s collection, processing, use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information consistent with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Privacy of Minors

Corbett & Dullea neither directs nor targets the Corbett & Dullea Web Site to children under the age of 18. If Corbett & Dullea learns that a registered user of the Corbett & Dullea Web Site is under the age of 18, Corbett & Dullea reserves the right to delete the information in that person’s account and immediately terminate the account. In such instances, Corbett & Dullea may also destroy any of the personal information provided by that person within Corbett & Dullea’s possession or control.

What personally identifiable information is collected from you?

Corbett & Dullea collects information in several ways from different parts of the Corbett & Dullea Web Site. Some personal information is gathered when you register as a buyer, renter or seller. During registration, Corbett & Dullea asks for your name, email address, mailing address and other information concerning your desired apartment. The more information you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we are able to customize your experience and help you buy, rent or sell an apartment. Once you register you are no longer anonymous to Corbett & Dullea – you are given a Corbett & Dullea User Name and ID and are able to take full advantage of Corbett & Dullea’s many services.

In addition to registration we may ask you for personal information at other times, including (but not limited to) when you schedule appointments to see apartments, bid on properties or when you post a property for sale or rent. If you contact Corbett & Dullea we may keep a record of that correspondence. Corbett & Dullea also occasionally asks users to complete surveys that we use for research purposes. Wherever Corbett & Dullea collects personal information we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.

Corbett & Dullea may also collect non-personal data from visitors who browse the Corbett & Dullea Web Site (often referred to as “clickstream” data), such as their IP address, the type of Web browsing software they are using, the Web site they visited before linking to the Corbett & Dullea Web Site and the Web site they visit after leaving the Corbett & Dullea Web Site.

What cookies are and how they are used?

As part of offering and providing customizable and personalized services, Corbett & Dullea uses cookies to store and sometimes track information about you. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Where you are prompted to log-in on to the Corbett & Dullea Web Site, or in sections of the Corbett & Dullea Web Site that are customizable, we require that you accept cookies. (See “What choices are available to you regarding collection, use, and distribution of your information?” for more information on cookies.)

Generally, we use cookies to remind us of who you are and to access your account information (stored on our computers) in order to deliver to you a better and more personalized service. This cookie is set when you register or “Sign In” and is modified when you “Sign Out” of our services. In addition (even if you have not registered with the Corbett & Dullea Web Site), we use cookies to help us measure certain traffic patterns, which areas of the Corbett & Dullea Web Site you have visited, and your visiting patterns in the aggregate. We use this research to understand how our users’ habits are similar or different from one another so that we can make each new experience on the Corbett & Dullea Web Site a better one. We may use this information to better personalize the content and services that you and other users will see and use on the Corbett & Dullea Web Site.

How your information is used?

Corbett & Dullea’s primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide you, the user, with a customized experience on the Corbett & Dullea Web Site and to better assist you in buying, renting or selling real estate. This includes personalization services, interactive communications, online scheduling and many other types of services. In order to provide the best possible services to you, we need to better understand your real estate requirements. You may also receive updates from Corbett & Dullea via e-mail regarding your transactions with Corbett & Dullea and promotional material about Corbett & Dullea’s services and features if you have indicated in your preferences that you would like to receive them. You can change your account preferences at any time. (See “How you can access, update, or delete your information?”) Corbett & Dullea does research on its users’ demographics, interests, and behavior based on the information provided to us upon registration, from our server log files, third party analytics tools or from surveys. We do this to better understand and serve our users. This research is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis. Corbett & Dullea may share this aggregated data with advertisers or business partners. (See “With whom does Corbett & Dullea share my information?” for more information on how Corbett & Dullea discloses aggregate data.)

We use your IP (Internet Protocol) address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer the Corbett & Dullea Web Site. We also use your IP Address to identify you when re-entering the Service, as described above with respect to our use of cookies. Your IP address is also used to gather broad demographic information.

Who is collecting your information?

Once you register as a buyer, renter or seller, Corbett & Dullea stores this information on its own servers. In order to provide these real estate services to you, it is necessary for us to share your personal information with other real estate companies. If you do not want your data to be shared, you can choose not to allow the transfer by not registering to buy or rent an apartment. (See “With whom your information may be shared?” for more information on how Corbett & Dullea discloses personal information in the course of your use of the Corbett & Dullea Web Site.)

With whom your information may be shared?

The following describes some of the ways that your information may be disclosed. If you choose to register with Corbett & Dullea as an apartment buyer or renter, we may forward some of your contact information to a participating real estate broker. That broker may in turn contact you to discuss your real estate needs in more detail and offer to assist you in your apartment search. If you do not wish to allow your information to be shared, you can choose not to register with Corbett & Dullea.

Additionally, Corbett & Dullea may disclose aggregated user statistics (for example, 45% of our users are female) in order to describe our services to current and prospective partners, advertisers, and other third parties, and for other lawful purposes.

Corbett & Dullea may also disclose account information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be violating Corbett & Dullea’s Terms of Use or may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) Corbett & Dullea’s rights or property, other users of the Corbett & Dullea Web Site, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. Corbett & Dullea may disclose or access account information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it and for administrative and other purposes that we deem necessary to maintain, service, and improve our products and services. Corbett & Dullea may disclose and transfer its database of user and account information to third parties in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of all or substantially all of its assets.

We use analytics tools and other third party technologies, such as Google Analytics and to collect non-personal information in the form of various usage and user metrics when you use our site. These tools and technologies collect and analyze certain types of information, including cookies, IP addresses, device and software identifiers, referring and exit URLs, onsite behavior and usage information, feature use metrics and statistics, usage and demographics, and other similar information.

What choices are available to you regarding collection, use, and distribution of your information?

Once you register with Corbett & Dullea, we usually use email to provide you with updates concerning new apartments meeting your criteria, scheduling changes and other transaction related information.
